Overview

Panchase Trek sits as one of the shortest yet mesmerizing packages through the forest of Panchase. Physically tiring, this tour brings the Brahmin and Gurung culture into view alongside the snow-capped peaks.

Like other trekking packages in the Annapurna Region, this trek also starts with a drive to the lake city of Pokhara. Boat in the Fewa Lake and take in the views of the Annapurna, Machhapurchhre, and other peaks while here. The next day sees us first at the Thado Khola Valley and then it's an uphill climb to the village of Bumdi. The next day sees us climbing uphill via the pine and rhododendron forest to arrive at Thulunchaur. From here, it's further uphill along the jeep trails to Panchase Bhanjhyang.

Get up early even before the sunrise to hike up to the top of the Panchase peak. Climb up on the strenuous trail to get to the summit. Savor in the panorama of high peaks of the Annapurna, Manaslu and the Ganesh range. Drop back down to the Panchase Bhanjhyang and following the breakfast, drop downhill to Bhadure. This village covers most of the portions of the Panchase forest. Descending downhill along the stone steps before walking past the jeep trail sees us at Naudada. After lunch, drive back down to Pokhara via the Baglung-Pokhara Highway. The next day, a drive to the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu ends our trip.

Do you have what it takes to complete a hike through the Panchase forest?
